vespiary (VES-pee-air-ee) - n., a wasp nest.
Or hornets -- the word isn't picky. Note that it can also be construed as an adjective, a synonym of vespine (of, pertaining to, or resembling a wasp), but that is by far the less common usage. Coined in the 19th century from Latin vespa, wasp on the model of apiary, a beehive.
It was only the second time I'd used the new slingshot, but I still hit on the first shot the vespiary just above Big Jim's head.
