As of "diriment"... do you know what kind of stuff could have invalidated a marriage? Also, how do you use that adjective? Does it qualify the marriage (or for modern use, whatever it is that is nullified) or does it qualify the factors that invalidate it. I'm sorry for all the question, especially if RL is hectic for you, but I'm finding this comm very interesting but as a non-native English speaker I'm afraid some things are not entirely clear for me... :s
