Shakespearean Imagination
Good day to you, friends!
It's Wednesday, which means another installment of Shakespearean Imagination!
I mentioned in my last post that I was off to the airport - a much-needed vacation in honour of my anniversary! So, as a nod to my dear spouse, today's word is:
courtship: court·ship : \ˈkôrtˌSHip\ (n): (1.) A period during which a couple develop a romantic relationship, esp. with a view to marriage. (2.) Behavior designed to persuade someone to marry one.
Synonyms: suit - courting - court - wooing - addresses
First seen in Shakespeare's Love's Labours Lost (written 1594-1595). The full text of the play may be found here.

You could also add the first letter of the word to your tags, if you like, for alphabetical referencing (as well as English and noun). :)
