Monday word: synestia
A large, spinning, donut-shaped mass of vaporized rock.
This word comes from this recent article about how planets (including Earth), and the Moon, might have formed
Etymology: Greek, syn, together, + Hestia, the goddess of home and architecture.
I'm not 100% sure, but this might be a newly-coined word - or at least a newly-coined definition (there is a type of moth called Recurvaria synestia, and that name has been around for at least a little while).
