Wednesday Word: Octavo

Octavo - noun.

A curious word, but familiar to anyone in the printing industry. An octavo can be a book or pamphlet made up of sheets that have been folded into eight leaves or sixteen pages. A book may contain multiple octavos.

If you guessed the quarto is a sheet folded four times with eight pages, pat yourself on the back!
