Howdy folks! Have all the brilliant iPhone owners updated to 3.0 yet? If not, do it!

Today's non-iPhone-related word is!

Cancrizans [kang'kri-zanz]
adjective

Definition
Moving backwards; especially, of a musical canon, repeating the theme backwards. While sometimes used in the general sense, cancrizans is most commonly used to refer to a particular type of baroque composition known as a crab canon.

Etymology
Latin cancrizare to move backwards, like a crab

Usage
With the introduction of the new CEO, the front-line staff of the company hoped that new changes would come into place which would stop the company moving cancrizans in terms of customer service and satisfaction. Or, at least, stop playing the damn crab canon over and over again as hold music!
