Finifugal [fan'ee-fyoo-gal]
adjective

Definition
Of or pertaining to shunning the end (of anything).

Etymology
From Latin fini-s end + fug-a flight + -al

Quotation
1883 A. Tollemache in Jrnl. Educ. 1 Sept. "In modern as well as in ancient times, the finifugal tendencyis apparent."

Usage
Whenever anyone ever accused me of never being committed or never finishing what I started, rather than shrug or get defensive, I can simply look over my many unfinished books, games, and other hobbies and tell them I am simply finifugal!

Woo, I like this word. And I'm actually between about nine books right now. It looks bad now, but a month or two it always feel awesome to finish all nine within two weeks of each other (the start time notwithstanding).
