I just received the following email from the good folks at LJ HQ:

So, we're gonna be Spotlighted! Now, here's the question - does anyone think there's anything we should do to prepare for it? Maybe a new theme? Or some changes to the profile page? Or some more/new rules?

Aside from a slight tidy-up as mentioned in one of the other posts, I don't think anything actually needs changing. After all, the spotlight shone on us because this community fantastic - if it ain't broke... ^^

I might just do that for the start of the year onwards, and ignore everything before that. Might also throw in a new mod post with some guidelines for tags, and make it a requirement. I don't want to make this place about rules and regulations, but I don't think tagging requirements would be too much to ask of all my volunteers?

Tagging is a quite reasonable requirement. Initial letter, part of speech, and language of origin, right?
