An invigilator is someone who supervises exams in-person or online. Most people probably know this role as a proctor, but invigilator was a new synonym for me!
British person here! Yep, "invigilator" is the standard word here. We have to look up "proctor", since in Britain that word refers to a disciplinary officer of a university.
