Howdy!
Today's WotT is:
Famulus [fam'yoo-lus]
noun; From Latin, a servant.
Definition
A personal servant, secretary, attendant or assistant, traditionally to a magician or scholar.
Looking down the list of Approved Thngs To Call Your Secretary, John wondered what happened to all the good ones. He noted that of all the words on the list, like gopher and lackey weren't there, but could he really tell clients that 'I'll just get my famulus to get the paperwork and some drinks to celebrate'? Nah. Maybe he'll just stick with 'Hey, you, with the boobs!'
