As Elizabeth was a sweet girl with good manners, she normally would have rejected unwanted suitors in the kindest way possible. Mr. Collins, however, with his ridiculous adulations and simpering personality, irked her past the point of reason, and Elizabeth turned down his proposals flat as soon as the unctuous minister had stopped talking.


I'm very sorry; I couldn't help but make another Pride and Prejudice sentence. It was right there. I swear I'll try to be more original next week.
