Hello! Before I post my word, I'd like to say that I'm looking for a Tuesday replacement. I've posted for three? four? years now, and I think it's high time someone else get the opportunity to share lovely new words in my stead. If you think you've got the qualifications (has good grammar, knows secret hiding places of exciting English words, is able to post each week more consistently than I do), then I will gladly hand the role over to you. I've enjoyed finding and sharing fun words, but I don't think I'll have the time to keep up with it in future.

Please volunteer! First come, first served and all that. I'll keep on posting until I find a successor. Prizes for anyone who can worm a Diana Wynne Jones book reference into your entries and so forth. Such ceremony!

Clyde gave an exasperated sigh and proceeded to give Elizabeth the instructions she was missing all at once. "NOnononono, you've got to pivot your feet! Pivot! Move your HIPS, girl, your HIPS! TURN YOUR HEAD! TUUUUUUUUUUUUURN!"
"Quit niggling at me! I AM turning my head!" Elizabeth gasped in response as she whipped her body to the left in another attempt to throw her judo partner.


Honestly, though, that's not really niggling, since I did need those instructions. Anyone got something better?
