lestobiotic, adj. living by covertly stealing food

Cleptobiosis is an ecological relationship in which members of one species steal from another;
lestobiosis is cleptobiosis characterized by furtive thievery.

Etymology:  Latin.  leistes, robber + biosis, mode of life

Ants have been studied to see if they are lestobiotic.  For example, a particular species of ant was suspected of being lestobiotic (a "guest ant") with termites, because it nests within the walls of termite mounds.
