If you know anyone that works with machines, whether vehicles or computers, chances are good that they have used percussive maintenance to fix a problem. Whether it's hitting something with a hammer, giving it a smack on the side or bouncing it on a carpet, percussive maintenance doesn't seem like a dumb fix if it gets the job done. Over time, as components heat up and cool down, they can become misaligned and a well-placed whack just might do the trick!
