Blobject, as you might guess, is a combination of blob and object and refers to anything that is smooth, curved and blob-like, such as the new VW Beetle and Apple's iMac.
Blobject's origin is attributed to several people, but all agree on the curvy, flowing shapes of mass-produced objects. Advances in injection molding, material and design software allowed for blobjects to begin appearing in the 1990s.
