The other day on telly I saw the coolest thing in the world - a carillon. Carillons (if that is the correct plural, which I doubt) are the world's largest and heaviest musical instruments and consist a collection of bells, usually housed in a church tower which are hooked up so that you can play them by striking a keyboard. On the show I was watching the carillonneaur (the person who plays it) was showing the presenter how to play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star on it, and as she was playing the one note at a time he started filling in all thedifferent parts and it was so lovely I nearly cried. I probably would have if I was on my own!
