I loathed this book so much in school. I remember thinking Timshel was an interesting concept, but not six hundred pages worth of interesting. It seemed like a very confused reinterpretation of Cain and Abel with all the sublties of a sledgehammer. An excuse to indulge in a fantasy of sin but make it palatable with Biblical book ends.
