empurple. Dictionary.com. Dictionary.com Unabridged (v 1.1). Random House, Inc. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/empurple (accessed: June 20, 2008).

Example:
Thursday's poster has been having fun with the font colors. Sometimes the font is green, sometimes blue, and yesterday it was purple. One person voiced objection about yesterday's empurpled post; me, I found it easy on the eyes.

Wow that's a word? How cool.
I thought the objection was just a satirical reaction based on that
day's word being Captious & thought the tags WERE the etymology, but
I'm glad to have discovered the online etymology site & will add its entry

Have a great weekend Grizzly :-)

Oh, I have no objection to empurplation! In fact, one of my favorite characters that I play online is a raccoon whose great grandmother was empurpled by fairies for a heroic deed, and who passed it on to some of her descendants.

She was empurpled as a reward for heroism? That's so cool !

Because, after all, colored animals are clearly magical! :) One bonus for her great grand-daughter is the ability to make up songs from thin air, and to always know the words when someone else is singing.
