Venus the Cat is not photoshopped and she's probably not an actual "chimera", but she is a Torbie!

tor·bie (ˈtɔːˌbi):
origin: a cat lover

Short for a "tortoiseshell-tabby", a domestic cat possessing the coloration of a tortoiseshell and a tabby on the same coat.
→ look for stripes on the dark patches as well as the areas of tabby color


pie·bald (ˈpaɪˌbɔld):
origin: (1580–90), Middle English; pied= patchy in color + bald= having a white spot

adjective or noun
Patched or spotted in two different colors, often black & white.

her owner fell in love as soon as she saw a photo of the kitten on the Internet and her husband flew on a plane to pick the kitty up. the owner also owns a tabby and a tuxedo cat, so she felt Venus would be the perfect "in between" cat!
