Cicatrix, sometimes spelled cicatrice, means “scar” in Latin. In modern English usage, it can be applied to either a scar on a human being or a scar on a plant where a leaf, seed, branch, etc. used to be.
A vicious cicatrix is a scar that causes a deformity (change in the shape of a body part or physical feature) and/or impairs the movement of a limb. Yell "Vicious cicatrix, man!" at a skateboarder and have a 360-degree kickflip performed in your honor. Awww yeah!
