Wednesday Word: Halloumi

Halloumi - noun.

We tried halloumi last night at a Nando's and I dunno...I expected more than tough sticks of cheese made from goat and sheep's milk. Halloumi has a high melting point, which makes it ideal for frying or grilling.

I tried halloumi at a work party once and didn’t think much of it, but it was stone cold by the time I got to it.

Yeah, it's pretty miserable when it's cold. I expected it to be like saganaki. It was just...the wrong texture, not salty, ugh! Oh well, gotta try everything at least once :-D
