I’m a bit surprised that Reimann—having mentioned Guillermo de Toro’s desire to film At the Mountains of Madness—omits The Shape of Water, a pretty danged obvious Lovecraft homage—but with the disabled minority human and her merman lover as the heroes.

Who, I’m afraid, impresses me considerably less than he does Riemann; Cage specifically made himself an allergen of mine some while back with his attitude that he’s not only entitled but qualified to play any superhero he wants.
