Quick note to say that today's word (or phrase, as it were) is Acute Viral Rhinopharyngitis. As in nerdfury is currently suffering from a nasty case of Acute Viral Rhinopharyngitis and is barely able to think or see straight, and barely even knows where he is or if the pretty birdy flying around his house is real or not and is therefore in no fit state to post a word today.

If anyone would like to sub for me today, please feel welcome to do so. Offers of chicken soup more than welcome.

The other day on telly I saw the coolest thing in the world - a carillon. Carillons (if that is the correct plural, which I doubt) are the world's largest and heaviest musical instruments and consist a collection of bells, usually housed in a church tower which are hooked up so that you can play them by striking a keyboard. On the show I was watching the carillonneaur (the person who plays it) was showing the presenter how to play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star on it, and as she was playing the one note at a time he started filling in all thedifferent parts and it was so lovely I nearly cried. I probably would have if I was on my own!

So that's my word - carillon. () ()

While saving money is all good and well I would advise [info]nerdfury not to consult a quack without the proper medical certificates, lest he wants to be prescribed a nostrum in place of the proper antibiotics.

Er.. I don't think I understood how much of it was a joke, but I just want to make sure that people are aware that antibiotics are useless against virus...
