Question to the comm: Should we move to Dreamwidth?

Greetings, everyone,

In view of LJ's most recent user agreement, etc.--

I just wanted to ask everyone if you would want to move the comm to Dreamwidth?

I had last imported the comm there a month ago; importing is now disabled (thanks to the above-mentioned user agreement), but we have all the entries and comments up until then.

I know we have over 3,000 members and more than 4,000 total watchers, but of course the number of people actively watching/commenting is much lower.

So the question is both to the posters (and many thanks, once again, for keeping the comm going, esp. when I was AWOL last year)--calzephyr77, sallymn, and simplyn2deep and also spikesgirl58, who just rejoined us as a poster--and to members/watchers.

Let me know in comments, please. I'll go along with the majority decision :)

I don't care one way or the other, but can you tell where in the updated user agreement does it prohibit the import?

I imported my other group about 4 weeks ago and need to update them about the change.

I'm majority-time DW, and only keep up my LJs to stay in touch with peeps who are LJ-only. Given the TOS, I'm likely to drop LJ entirely.

I've always just kind of ignored the terms updates from LJ and have not found the DW interface to be intuitive and welcoming... I like seeing the posts from this comm on LJ.

Is there some resource on DW that is like 'welcome to DW and this is how to use our site if you're coming from LJ and here are the 'addme' communities and etc etc' ??

Maybe if LJ is further deteriorating I should get my head wrapped around DW as an alternative...

I'd mostly ignored them too but the one in 2016 ticked me off, and this one even more so.

And several of my close LJ-friends left LJ and went to DW b/c of these $%&*@#$%^ terms.

I had found DW fairly easy to use, and yes I would recommend exploring DW as an alternative, LJ has really been going downhill these last few years...
